Introduction
1. The Origin
According to the Bible, God made the first man Adam from the dust of the ground and into the image of God. Eve came from Adam's side.
2. His Nature
Man's likeness to God is a reference to the trinity of Man. As God is triumph in nature "Father, Son and the Holy Spirit". He created man a triumph creature, consisting Body, Soul and Spirit.
The man is created in the image of God which refers to the contents: Conscience, Imagination with emotions. This simply states, man can identify themselves and knowing of his existence.
3. The Tragic Fall of Mankind
Gen 3:16 - Satan working through the serpent enticed Eve and Adam to disobey God. With the fall, the punishment of Adam and Eve also affected mankind as follows:
4. Inherited Sinfulness Resulted
a. Shame - Gen 3:7
b. Fear - Gen 3:8 - 10
c. Discord - Gen 3:12 - 15
d. Physical death - Gen 5:5 PS: 90:10
e. Spiritual death - Matt 7:23 Matt 25:41
f. Suffering - Eph 5:21 Gen 3:16
g. Weariness of labour - Gen 3:17 - 19
h. Separation from God - Gen 3:22
5. Redemption of Mankind
About 2000 years ago, God sent His son Jesus Christ into the world. He then taught people about the nature of God and the Kingdom of God and with it the final acts of redemption on the Cross.
6. Two Natures of Christians
These two natures namely Divine nature and Sinful nature and these are constantly at war (Rom 7:14 - 25).
